I must say, this is one of the best things I have done yet, and this for several reasons. First of all, the experience itself was splendid, both because of the interesting people present and the beautiful weather. Then, of course, there are the possibilities that it opens up in terms of assignments. There were in fact several positions still vacant this winter – some even starting almost at once – but I am already occupied (more on that later). The summer appointments were, however, behind schedule, so all of us were offered the chance to enter the application process on an equal footing. We'll see how that goes.

In the meantime, I'd just like to thank STF in general and Staffan Lindberg in particular for this opportunity – even if it took some time getting there...
