It had been my explicit wish to go for a longer tour this autumn, but due to work-related reasons, I was constrained to weekends. Anyway, after a particularly heavy week I felt that the time had come, and the weather forecasts were most favorable too, so I started amassing the required stuff. I had already planned the route: go through Issjödalen, with its ice age remnants, to the Lunndörren cottages, with their sauna, spend the night, and slide onto the trail known as Blanktjärnsrundan for the return journey.

Here, then, is the account of what transpired during the subsequent weekend. Each section has a header consisting of a short overview of the stage in question, complete with a map showing the route travelled. A ring marks the starting point, a square the lunch break location, and a star the destination. Vertical distances have been calculated from the map and have an accuracy of 20 m.
